Fellowship @ All Saints'
Unlike some Christian denominations, the Episcopal Church places a lot of emphasis on community. That is to say, the life of faith is a corporate affair, not a private one. Of course, this does not imply that we are all the same or agree on every issue. It simply means that salvation and truth are worked out in community. Because Anglicans value community so much, fellowship is an important part of the Episcopal Church. We are a people with a common goal—to know Christ and to make him known—and each member of the body of Christ plays an essential role in carrying out the work of the gospel. In baptism, we are called to be a part of the community of faith, to be a “we” and not just an “I.”
Naturally then, All Saints’ offers several opportunities for fellowship, from frequent church-wide events (e.g. annual picnic, Christmas party, annual Easter Egg hunt, Sunday coffee hours, concerts, Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, family trips, monthly soup supper) to various groups (e.g. St. Martha’s Guild, Snack-N-Sew, One's and Two's). One of All Saints’ greatest strengths, according to just about every parishioner, is its spirit of intimacy and community. Becoming a part of All Saints’ is like being a member of a close-knit family, a place where you’ll find constant friendship, support, and love.
So peruse around this page and consider getting involved in one or more of our many fellowship groups. As we like to say around here, you’ll come as a guest, but leave as a friend. For more information, please contact the church office (970-667-0303 or frsathi@aol.com).
