Sunday Morning Worship Ministers

The Episcopal Church relies on our liturgy to shape our worship. The word liturgy comes from Greek word leitourgia, meaning the work of the people. We have many people who assist in making our Sunday worship a place to draw close to Christ and to know and feel the presence of God. These ministries include:

  • Altar Guild: The hardworking folks who set up the altar for worship, and makes the altar look beautiful.

  • Ushers & Greeters: The wonderful smiling people who greet everyone who comes and hands out bulletins.

  • Acolytes & Eucharist Ministers: These are the people who sit “up front” with Mother Cynthia and assist her in leading worship and distributing communion.

  • Readers: The attentive folks who read the lessons and lead us in the prayers.

  • Choir & Musicians: And of course we have music each Sunday led by our choir and other special musicians. Our music for worship is traditional hymnody, with some added contemporary, gospel, and even madrigal chant thrown in at various times. Our music always inspires.
